Infants

6 weeks to approximately 13/14 months

Our goal is to create a stimulating and safe environment in which babies can learn, grow, explore and take safe risks. The classroom climate is warm, nurturing, and comfortable to foster relaxed and meaningful relationships between the babies and their caregivers. Emotional connections and the formation of trust are the most important aspects of our infant program.

Young Toddlers

Approximately 1 to 2 ½ years

This program fosters opportunities for development of self-help skills, language, motor skills, and emerging social skills. We focus on helping toddlers balance their need for independence and autonomy with their challenging feelings of separation and security. We strongly believe that children need a warm, caring, and supportive environment that allows them to learn and grow through play and nurture.

Older Toddlers

Approximately 2 to 3 ½ years

This classroom provides activities and experiences that are designed to meet the diverse needs of active toddlers. Expect lots of messy, wet, and hands-on activities with an emphasis on process rather than product. Additionally, we focus on helping toddlers to balance their need for independence and autonomy with their challenging feelings of separation and security. Equally as important are the warm and nurturing relationships formed between teachers and children and among the children themselves.

Preschoolers/Pre-k

Approximately 3, 4, and 5 years

Our preschoolers follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum which provides for all areas of a child’s development. Our staff is sensitive to the need to provide kindergarten readiness, experiences in literacy, math, science, and social competence. Rather than focusing on isolated skill instruction, we use an integrated approach to learning. We value children’s interests and plan projects around relevant topics, allowing children to do “investigative work” as they learn more about the things that interest and intrigue them. We are committed to providing childhood memories rich with play and meaningful relationships.
